My Master Thesis "Folk tales: A study field in al-Fayoum province/ 2003". it consists of two parts, first is my research which contains of introduction, approach (methodology,Literature reviews , research area and transcription of Egyptian colloquial) and two chapters. First chapter is the problem of term of Folk tale as the Egyptian folk narratores are using it. they are not using the formal term "folktale" but they are using four local terms to rsfer to four folk Egyptian geners. the second chapter is the difference of the variety narrations for the text.
the second part is the index. it contains of 500 oral folk tales which i collected it from the folk narrators during my study field. i chose just 500 tales from many different taleswhich i collected it. my thesis is 1500 pages, 280 pages for my research and 1320 for the appendixes.

Doctorate thesis is "al-Hilaleyya Epic in Upper Egypt: A study of Narrators and narration/ 2007". al-hilaleyy is an Arab Epic/ Sira, is still narrating in orally up to now. i collected 200 hours of oral text from many different amateure and professional Egyptian narrators.
            The study consists of two parts. The first (300pages) includes the introduction, a theoretical approach, five chapters and the conclusion. The theoretical approach includes the literature review, the research methodology and a linguistic guide to the reading of the collected texts. The first chapter is entitled "al-HILLALEYYA and Qena society". It portrays the relationship between al-SIRA al-HILALEYYA and Qena governorate and how to al-SIRA reflected the customs, beliefs and traditions, such as birth, marriage, death, games and foods in Qena.  The second chapter is entitled "The field work: Conditions and difficulties". The third is entitled "al-HILLALEYYA between the amateur and professional narrators. It compares the performance, texts/ narrations and audience between the two types of narration. The fourth chapter is entitled "al-SIRA al-HILALEYYA between the oral and the written texts". The present study tackled the different verse forms and the prose forms of narration of al-SIRA, such as "al-Qaseed", al-Zagal, ballad "al-Mawwal", al-Morabbaat. The fifth chapter is portrays the major events, heroes and female characters in al-HILALEYYA.The second part of the study consists of  five appendices (1200 pages). this part consist of the oral hilaleyya which i collected it.
